Household Cleaner Recall for New York Residents
Remember when we all had to rush out to buy wipes, masks, and cleansers? There was a huge shortage of popular products and even counterfeit brands were gone. No matter your favorite brand, it was impossible to find them at various times during the pandemic.
The pandemic may be over, but there’s a new concern about a possible “tridemic” as we worry about the spike in COVID, influenza and RSV cases in New York City. Get out the cleaners again! But there is one particular cleaner that has been recalled in New York State that residents should be aware of.
Pine-soil may be contaminated with bacteria which can cause serious infections in humans. The recalled products will have a date code on the top of the bottle that begins with the prefix “A4” followed by a five digit number below “2-2-2-4-9”.
Pine-Sol® Scented Multi-Surface Cleaners in Lavender Clean®, Sparkling Wave® and Lemon Fresh scents, CloroxPro® Pine-Sol® All Purpose Cleaners, in Lavender Clean®, Sparkling Wave®, Lemon Fresh and Orange Energy® scents , and Clorox® Professional™ Pine-Sol® Lemon Fresh Cleaners. Original Pine-Sol® (pine scent) is not included in this recall.
