FEMA and NIMASA donate medical equipment to Asokoro District Hospital
The Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in collaboration with the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), has donated medical equipment to Asokoro District Hospital on the territory.
Equipment donated to the hospital includes five infusion stands, 10 thermostats, five suture packs, an autoclave sterilizer and two delivery packs, two beds, a suction machine, 10 linens, hand sanitizers and nasal masks.
NIMASA Managing Director Alhaji Bashir Jamoh while presenting the medical equipment at the hospital said the gesture was an effort by both agencies to add value to the hospital’s services, and also made part of the agencies’ corporate social responsibility.
According to Jamoh, who was represented by the Director of Special Duties, Mr. Isichei Osamgbi, they will continue to partner with FEMA and the Hospital in the Service of Humanity.
Asokoro District Hospital Medical Director Dr Uche Afiomah while receiving the equipment praised the agencies for the donation, said it was donated at a critical time and he would add value to hospital services, in particular by ensuring the health of the sick.
FEMA Director General Alhaji Abbas Idriss informed that Asokoro District Hospital was chosen for the donation because they are their partners, their first point of contact in case of emergency and they never have them. rejected.
The DG, who explained that the donation was symbolic, revealed that FEMA was conducting a needs assessment of all FCT hospitals and would make more donations.
