Absecon Joins Atlantic County Public Library Network


The Absecon Public Library will become a branch of the Atlantic County Library Network on October 1.

ABSECON – On October 1, Absecon Library will join the Atlantic County Library System as the 10th branch.

According to a statement, the Absecon Library, located at 305 New Jersey Ave., will provide improved technology and resources with the addition of new computers, scanners, public copiers, printers and a fax machine.

Absecon Library cardholders can go to any ACLS branch to get a new ACLS card and access all ACLS services including the full collection of physical documents, eBooks, and eBook audiobooks, as well than online databases and digital media.

The Absecon Library card number will continue to provide access to Overdrive, South Jersey Audiobook and eBook Download Center until the end of 2021, but the sooner users switch to an ACLS card, the sooner they will have access to a greater selection of electronic titles and magazines. .

The opening hours of the Absecon Library will be 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

The County Library System Card is an access pass to any of its 10 branches, including the Ventnor City branch.
